Naasville Bluegrass Music Festival

The 8th Naasville Bluegrass Music Festival was a success. We had more visitors than ever before and more publicity than ever. 3 of the largest swedish newspapers had written about the festival prior to the start.

The Friday event was held inside Lekhuset. We had a fancy scen this year with hay-bales all around. The intimate atmosphere and the supportive audience made it into a steaming night with great music. The bands played into well over 12 at night and then the jams continued until 4 or 5 in the morning.

Our main attraction this year was The New Deal String Band with Tom Paley who is known from the 60ies group The New Lost City Ramblers. The style called Old Time Music is not always the most crowdpleasing, but Tom Paley brought the house into standing ovations.

Saturday is the outdoor part of the festival. It started out fine but after a while came a heavy rain. We moved into Lekhuset again and another great day with music ended with all band-members on stage in Will the Circle Be Unbroken.
