You can now listen to a few of the bands - Yellow n Bluegrass, High On Grass and New City CowFreaks have all soundsamples at the bottom of their pages. The 9th Naasville Bluegrass Music Festival came at
the same time as the first hot swedish summerdays. What you see here is
preparation for the saturdays events that took place on the grass
outside Lekhuset. The bands performed inside Lekhuset during
the hot friday night.
The Friday event was held inside Lekhuset. We had a fancy
scene again this year with hay-bales all around. The intimate atmosphere and the
supportive audience made it into a steaming night with great music. The
bands played into well over 12 at night and then the jams continued until
4 or 5 in the morning.
We had more publicity then ever before. Radio P4 broadcasted live for
one hour during friday night. Later on, all music performed during
the saturday was broadcasted on the internet with the help of the
american Bluegrassradio station www.solidgoldbluegrass.com.
Six solid hours of the best scandinavian bluegrassbands and one of
the best american - BlueRidge.
If you never been to a Bluegrassfestival, you may not
know that one of the most entertaining music is found in the jams that
take place during and after the festival. A jam is when musicians get
together to play, just for the pure fun of it.
