Travelling North Carolina

North Carolina

Asheville, North Carolina
We did quite a lot of travelling during our stay in
North Carolina. We went to Asheville which is something of a Bluegrass
capital. This is the town where Jimmie Rodgers made his radio debute.
Right in the middle of the BlueRidge Mountains.

the Bluegrass Center, Asheville, North Carolina
Not even in the Bluegrass capital, many people know
much about Bluegrass. After som detective-work we found the Bluegrass-Center
which is a small guitar-store in Asheville. The adress is 51 Thompson St,
Suite F, Asheville, NC 28803, phone - 828-236-9396.

Bearpen Gap, BlueRidge Mountains
We drove the BlueRidge Parkway from Asheville. This is something
you should do if you come to this part of the world. A very scenic road
winding through the mountains. This day happened to be a very foggy one, so
we didn't se much sceenery. I guess that's way they talk about the Smokey
Mountains.

New River
We also took a little trip into Virginia. We passed the
New River. Is this the river from the song New River Train? We spent
one night in Christiansburg, Virgina. I woke up at night when I heard the
train pass - the New River Train?
